So I have been having issues with my 4x4 switching to 4hi consistently. The other day I tried to put it in 4hi and it got stuck. Couldn't get it out, tried all the usual methods to switch it back, it didn't work. Took it to the Toyota dealership and they replaced the Transfer shift actuator (cost me $800). Still had issues with 4hi not engaging so I thought maybe I could try and take off the Transfer Case actuator (4hi side) and see if there was an issue. I've seen some threads in the forums where this could be due to a motor problem.
As I was trying to diagnose the issue, I actually broke the microswitch on the actuator (picture shown). Is there a way to replace the microswitch? Or get a 4hi, topside actuator housing? IMG_0226.jpgIMG_0227.jpg
