Hi everyone! Got in a minor fender bender last week and cracked my grill. I'm going to replace the OEM grill with a black aftermarket grill, and want to upgrade my headlights while i'm in there. I'm having a tough time deciding what headlights to go with (budget of $150-300). I like the look of both the LED tube lights and Halos, but their reviews are all over the place. Some have leaks, bulbs constantly going out, hard to adjust, etc. These are a few i'm considering. Anyone have suggestions on what to get or stay away from? Thanks!

I have seen both of these on Tundra's on here and driving around. Both look good, though I personally prefer the LED tube over the Halo. My experience was the aftermarket ones are hit and miss with quality. I had issues with mine aimed too high and I couldn't adjust them down. I ended up just ordering OEM from @Roman and they worked out of the box, no problems. They aren't as cool looking, but at least I am not blinding on coming traffic. I couldn't install mine immediately and ended up having to eat the cost of the aftermarket lights, and still purchase OEM. If you go aftermarket, get ready to RMA them within the expected time frame. There are a lot of good reviews of both types, some last a year, and others last much longer.

I just installed new headlights since the OEM's were hazy and I was tired of buying kits to restore them temporarily. I researched on Ebay, Amazon, carid, realtruck, and bought from autoanything. Spyders PRO JH TTU07 LED BLK for $225. Ordered on May 3 and got them May 8. It comes with halogens but I swapped them out and kept them as backup. I put in Hikari Ultra LED's H1 which is super bright (2.7x brighter than halogens). LED U bar has to be wired into parking lights/DRL. I love it! We will see how durable it is.

BTW, I thought it best to buy Spyders and not take the chance that they were Spyder knock offs -- so I bought it from a company that listed the trademark. It could be that Akkon and Acanii are just resellers but didn't want to chance it.

I have the U-bar style. They fit great, the output is better than the Spyder style (had those too).

Nice! Did you have to modify 07 Tundra to fit grille?

you have to buy new grill brackets, and some hardware. outside the cost of the grille, it was about $50 in additional cost. All in I spent around $250 for the conversion. There is/was a dealership on ebay selling both the grill and the necessary parts. it is a good source or part #'s :)

    Left Grille bracket: 531180C030
    Right Grill Bracket: 531170C030
Grille: 53100-0C240-AO (change to match your color)
    various clips and screws

I decided to go with the Spyders off carID to avoid knock offs and get the 1 year warranty. Ordered the grill below too. Debating if i want to leave the grill shell black or have it metallic grey color matched, thoughts?

Anzo U-bar. They are nice, pretty decent light output... Much better than the spyders I had before these.

Are Anzo's still in the Spyder-realm of fogging up on the inside and needing an extra bead of RTV around the seam to (maybe) prevent it? Or are they good to go out of the box?

I've had a mine on for almost 2 years now. They were good outta the box. I've never had an issue with fogging or moisture intrusion.

Thanks for the info. I've got a set of the older rev Spyders and they definitely fog in certain situations and have the UV/clearcoat/whatever peeling/chipping off after a year or so.

I ain't mad since they're cheap. Just looking for another option.

Was it a pain to wire these into your parking lights/drl's? I'm looking at buying these for my truck. But worried about the installation, ha.

How was the installation? Did they hook up to your stock harnesses? I'm looking to get some for my truck, but worried about the installation. Ha
