Hello, I have owned my Tundra for the past 2 years. Now has about 180,000 miles on it. Since I bought it, every year when the weather starts to cool down I start to have transmission trouble. I pull a 28ft. camper during the spring and summer and into October with no trouble whatsoever. Last camping trip though, on the way to camp, the same issue I've been having arose. Check engine light, 4lo flashing, and vsc light flashing. When I check codes, computer says the TCC (torque converter clutch) solenoid is stuck or low performance. I can tell that the clutch is stuck on for sure seeing as when I would come to a stop, the truck barely pulls itself away from stop, especially if on a slight incline. Is it possible that it is simply just a matter of pulling the oil pan and valve body and replacing the solenoid. Just curious if anyone else has had similar issue and any success with repairing versus replacing the whole transmission. I will try to post later with what other codes come up as I just had to unhook the battery over the weekend to reset after we got to camp last weekend. Drove home yesterday from camping with everything starting out ok at first. After about 10-15 minutes of driving though I could tell the solenoid was stuck again, no lights or codes yet though. Last year when I first had trouble in winter, I did have a P2757 code come up. Code description for that one read "Torque converter clutch pressure control solenoid control circuit performance or stuck off"

Sure sounds like a stuck solenoid. I come from the gm world. Removal of pan and replacement of solenoids are known to clear up tc lockup issues.
