    2008 Toyota Tundra 5.7.

Truck was driving and suddenly died. Would not start. Fuel pump module replaced (from dealer) and now it starts consistently. It would run but it had a bad low idle.

Remaining codes on the vehicle were p0352, p0354, p0356, and p0358. Found no spark on the entire bank 2 side of the engine.

All grounds associated with bank 2 cylinders were cleaned and intact. Bought a used ECU and programmed it accordingly. Current Codes are: Cylinder 1-8 ignition primary/secondary circuit P0351 P0352 P0353 P0354 P0355 p0357 p0358. The truck is able to start but dies after 1 second following ECU replacement. Currently the following lights are flashing (4lo and 4hi) and "vsc off" light is on. Power steering sensor and secondary air injection pumps was disconnected and verified to not be related to the problem. All fuses and relays were checked to have power.

    Please help.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and take a swag at this but it sounds like maybe the immobilizer.

I'm fighting with a similar problem. First, last year I had that start and die problem. Changed the fuel pump module which was very badly rusted. Truck started fine afterwards but then there was a slight burble felt in the idle. Then a month ago, the 4lo, traction control and check engine lights came on. I had this happen a few years ago and replaced both secondary air intake valves. Codes gone and ran great. Now, the codes are for a cylinder 6 misfire. I took out the injectors and had them rebuilt. The guy said they were pretty bad inside probably due to additives in gas. Put them back in and truck ran good and codes and lights gone. This was 5 days ago. Took the truck for inspection and passed fine. On the way home, the 3 lights came back on. Scan shows cylinder 6 misfire again. Burble in idle still present. Had one start fail and a brief egg odor in exhaust. Going to change plugs and one coil pack this weekend but I don't know if that will help

After swapping the ECU back to the original one, same problem persists as it starts and dies. Codes P0351-P0358 persist. Forgot to mention that codes P0412 and P0553 were present in the beginning. Disconnecting the SAI valves and connectors to related components made no change in the operation of the vehicle. Also disconnecting the power steering pressure sensor did not make a difference.

Well, I just changed the plugs and the #6 coil pack and it worked. No more burble at idle. Runs smooth as silk. Plenty of power. Thank goodness. Now I just have to have the dash lights reset
