Will an airbag from a 2008 tundra fit a 2011 tundra? For some reason the seller has it listed as fitting a 2007-2008 only. Im looking to add steering wheel controls and so far its the cheapest option I've found, but don't want to send them an offer until I know if it will even work for my 2011.

All 2007-2013 steering wheel airbags should be the same as far as size, shape ect. I am very sure they use the same wiring ect.

I have an extra 2007 airbag laying around. I also have a 2015 airbag running on my 2007 truck and factory wiring. No warning lights or trouble codes in the ACM Airbag control module. I checked with Techstream.

If you are getting a newer 2007-2013 wheel with steering wheel controls, you should be able to use your factory airbag you are using now. Just change the wheel with the new buttons and put the old bag back in. As long as the spiral cable and wiring connectors are you same (which they should be) you will be fine.

I plan on using my current wheel, just need the replacement airbag/cover combo that fits steering wheel controls. I found one for $300 but its listed as only fitting the 2007-2008 tundra, which is my dilemma. Didn't make sense to me. I used steering wheel controls from a 2007 and I finally got them working, so I'm assuming the airbag should work as well, but just wanted to try and verify.

Because of this post I realized the cover is different on 2007-2013 with steering wheel controls. Airbag function should be the same however. Pretty sure they all use the same ACM (Airbag Control Module)
