gotcha, I don't know what its called either..

It's a multi-step process. First removal (not too hard), I then wrapped the surround in matte black vinyl and inset in Avery supreme gloss white pearl (matches my color very well). Once all was wrapped I used some black ABS "sequoia" letters (link below) in the center.

    Thanks!
Thats exactly what my Sequoia looked like about 5 months ago. It really wasn't that expensive for the transformation. I paid:
    $280 for the headlights
    $150 for the grill
$900 for the wheels and tires (but really this is a wash since I needed new tires on my other wheels and they were over $1k alone!)
$200 give or take for the vinyl and other odds and ends.

Sure beats buying a new sequoia for $60k! I like my truck again!

YW! I thought about blacking mine out like the TRD Pro, but I like the Black/white contrast. That one part sets my truck apart from the rest.

Hey Beau. Your truck looks great! I'm curious how you like the wheel/tire combo. Do the wheels look to have good quality and how do those tires ride compared to the regular tires that came with the Sequoia?

    Thanks

I'm overall happy with the combo. The quality is great and so is the ride. Maybe a touch louder than the stock radials that I had but that is expected on an AT tire. They look like a custom stock look (if the makes sense), similar to the look of the TRD or nightshade 4runner. The offset is 50 as opposed to 60, so they sit more flush with the fenders. They changed the look of my truck and brought me into the modern times as far as style goes. Overall, I'd recommend picking them up if you can find them for a fair price. I paid 900 and they had 3k miles and came with TPMS, lugs, mounting, and a new friend. The guy I bought them off of is a fellow enthusiast and we have been upgrading our trucks together ever since. Hope this helps!

As promised...the weather was beautiful today and I was productive. Tail light tint and steering wheel completed. I think they both came out great! The gray isn't quite as light (to match the interior) as I hoped, but I think it's close enough.

That steering wheel looks pretty damn good. That’s the first I’ve seen that hasn’t looked crappy. Who makes it?

The adhesive seems very strong. I would think that it will hold up well. Make sure you watch some videos prior to installation if you are a beginner:). Good luck.

Left them on the truck. That way they were affixed and I could stretch the tint easier without having to worry about anchoring the lights too.

Santa wifey came through this year:) Here is my new TRD Pro skid plate! In case anyone is wondering, this bolts right on without any modifications! Crazy that the frame of a 2008 sequoia is the same as a 2020 Tundra TRD Pro. Next up.... sound deadening the cab with 72sqft of Mat66 material. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!IMG_7857.jpgIMG_3921.jpg

Nice! I got some of the tint you used for the taillights. I’ll eventually give it a shot.

Thanks! I couldn't believe that it bolted right up, there should be some better cross referencing done by Toyota for our trucks. Don't let the vinyl intimidate you, it's not too hard. If you know how to lay vinyl, it'll be easy.

PKE/remote start/push button start installed and it is awesome! I walk up with keys in pocket and when I get 5' from the truck it unlocks and the DRL LED flashes...get in, hold brake, and push start button...off we go.....get to destination....push button to stop...get out, close door, and walk away....Once I get about 10' away the horn honks, DRL flashes, and doors lock.

All of this without taking the keys out of my pocket, pretty sweet!

As far as the remote start: from about 50-75' away in my dining room I can trigger the remote start and the truck fires right up.

    VERY SATISFIED with it.

Here is a couple pics of the push button, I took the change holder out and installed it in it's place.IMG_0929.jpgIMG_4897.jpg

Thanks to @Beau for the tip on contacting the manufacture directly, i was able to get the grill for cheap shipped to my door. Quality is good, fitment is 8/10. Only because i think the gap between the hood and grill could be a little closer. But overall, i like it. Changed the way it look for sure. 20200111_230107.jpg

Looks great. I had a little bit of an issue with the hood to grill fitment which was resolved by purchasing 3 new yellow plastic clips that hold the grill to the hood. Mine were still intact but, due to age, didn't hold the grill as good as I wanted. Just FYI....great transformation though, and a steal for only 130ish bucks! Now time for that radio upgrade:)

@Beau How’d you get Alpharex lights for $280????

Also how long did the steering wheel stitching take?

I used a military discount code along with a couple other codes that seemed to stack at the time. I'm not sure if they still allow you to stack coupon codes, but you may want to give it a try.

The stitching took me about a solid 2.5hrs. It wasn't too tough, just make sure you line everything up and use plenty of the double sided tape provided (especially on the back of the spoke portion).
