I need new headlights. My eyes are not what they used to be. I have already sanded/resurfaced the lenses in the past. I have replaced the halogen with LED bulbs etc. Now I have fogged lenses and moisture in one of them. It’s time to move on because I have lost confidence in the new Tundra coming out anytime soon. So, my plan is to keep the old girl for a little longer. So she is getting a facelift.

I don’t want to spend a $1,000 or more on Morimoto’s and not sure I trust the Alpharex and cheaper LED models. I also want plug & play if at all possible! I would like to be under $600. So, I am considering buying the original headlight units for $450 from Toyota and using the current LED’s that I have.

My question is this...Am I missing something???

I am older & like simple/easy at this point in my life. I have read tons of light threads and my head is still spinning..

    Thanks!

I put LED bulbs in new OEM housings, they work great.

Thanks for the part numbers. I just put my order in!

What brand LED’s are you running? I have some cheap ones I bought off craigslist and the fan is kind of loud.

The Vled Micros work great. They were designed for the halogen reflector housings.

Hopefully he didn't need the non-leveling housings.

S-V.4, the most current version with the proper cut-off so you don't blind anyone.

    They aren't cheap.

    Agreed.

The numbers I put up were for example only.

Copy that. Just wondering if he was familiar with what he needed. There has been quite a few that have No idea about headlight leveling or if they even have it.

I gave McGeorge Toyota my vin# when ordering. So, I got the correct factory replacement coming. It is a grade model Tundra & I remember adjusting the beam height in the past. But, some of the newer headlights with leveling look totally different. So, I just called them to double check & they said I was good. However, he could not tell me wether or not they were non-leveling, only that they were the correct ones for my vin#.

    Appreciate the input! :oldglory:
