I found a set of 2008 mirrors locally that have the turn signal arrow on the glass , have the heated mirror logo in the corner and have the round puddle light on the bottom. Im guessing they came off a platinum or something

Does any one know if these are a direct plug and play mirror if I was to install on my 2016 ?
    thank you

What trim level is your 16? The signals and heated mirror should be PnP but the puddle lights would most likely need to be wired in separately, but its easy enough to do

when im searching mirrors on ebay etc for compatability... people list them as 2014 - current
was there a change from the 2007-2013 mirrors ?

I installed 2015's on my 2007, so you can easily go the other way.

Only difference I could spot is the 14-20 have a little fin on the mirror bases where 07-13 don't

Than and the warning signals on the outer edges of the newer mirrors. My '07 doesn't have sensors so these don't work for me, and that's just fine.

which warning signals and sensors are you refering to?????

are you refering to the vehicles equipt with BSM and the little light in the outside corner of the glass showing 2 cars colliding?

As thomasbus337 said, its pretty much plug n play (heated/defogger and turn signals) but the puddle lights needs to be wired since you have a limited. I believe only the Platinum models have all options wired to the harness.

If those side mirrors came from a 2nd Gen Platinum, most likely they have the fold feature which needs to be wired as well if you want that feature on your truck.

    cool, thanks for the info.
how would I know if they have the fold feature just by looking at them?
They do have chrome caps if that tells you anything

Check the harness, if its has all or most of the pins and the side mirror assembly is pretty heavy then it has the fold feature.
