Loong time reader on this forum, but this is my first question.
I have a 2008 Tundra 4.6L engine. First thank God the air valves were on the side of the engine and not under the intake. The pump is located under the wheel well.
Last week I had a error code P2443. Looking it up it turned out to be the secondary air valve bank 2. Further reading I saw that it was a good idea to replace the air pump also. I have since replaced both now I have a P2438 and a P0415 code that I can't remove. Plus besides the Check Engine light I also have a steady Traction Control light and a flashing VSC and 4 low light. I took it to the garage down the street and he could not remove the codes with his Snap On scanner
The past couple of years I have been having nothing but major problems with this truck where I am having a bad taste in my mouth for Toyota products. Not only a cheep interior that tears or breaks, but a timing belt on a V8 (which I never thought a V8 would have anything besides a chain), a rear axle bearing failure on both sides. This truck was babied since new so I never abused it.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I hate to hear you are having issues with it, the 4.7L in these early models have been pretty sound overall.

As for the codes, what are the code descriptions for the ones currently showing? The entire SAIP system is crap and known to go out. I had them go out and get covered under the extended warranty the first time, but on the second time I bought the bypass kit and installed it. Didn't "fix" the actual issue, but it keeps that system from turning on and the truck runs normal.

Sounds like the truck is still in limp mode with those flashing lights.

Sorry I wasn't more descriptive, I am just totally frustrated. The P0415 Secondary Air Injector Swing Valve B Circuit, P2438 Secondary Air Injection System Air Flow/ Pressure Sensor Circuit High Bank 2. The truck is not in limp mode after I installed the parts, matter of fact it runs fine even on the highway.

Also only 148000 miles but over the 10 year extended warranty by 2 weeks.

Well the lights have mysteriously gone out. I could not reset with scan tool, disconnecting the battery, or pulling the correct fuse. Must be a number of drive cycles that reset it.
