Weirdly whn i come to a complete stop lately it has a weird thud under the truck. And then when i take off it does it again. Its only one thud and doesnt do it any more once youve got off the line. I just replaced the carrier bearing since it had some play in it and it didnt change anything. Any one experience this.

lube the driveshafts/any zerk fittings in the driveline. My 06 4runner does the same if they get dry

One possibility is a loose caliper. Sometimes the bolts that hold the caliper or caliper bracket loosen up and the caliper moves just slightly when the brakes are applied, which would cause a small thud. But, you said it happens when braking and taking off which might eliminate this possibility. It's an easy fix so it might be worth checking.

Another possibility is a loose cam bolt. These are large bolts that hold your front lower control arms on. There are two on each side, four altogether. The torque specs are pretty high on these: 207 ft. lbs. I believe. If they are loose, the control arm can shift just slightly, which makes the larger cam washer move laterally until it hits the retainer tab that holds them in place. This causes the thud. If this is the problem, the thud would happen once on both braking and taking off. It has happened to me after getting an alignment and the shop didn't tighten the bolts enough. I re-torqued them, and the problem was fixed.

There are other possibilities as well, but these are the two I know of and have easy fixes.

Could be something as mundane as gasoline sloshing back and forth in the tank. Mine does this, it's pretty subtle though.

@Chatterhoon If you tighten your cam bolts, make sure to only turn the nut side. Do not turn the bolt side. Hold the bolt side stationary as you tighten the nut. If you turn the bolt, it will mess with your alignment.
