I am considering buying a 2007 5.7L 4x4 Limited with 182k on it. Owner says "Only issue is occasionally it goes into limp mode, and have to disconnect the battery for a second to reset the control circuits".

I guess it's safe to assume Toyota won't cover it. Can anyone give me an idea how much it would cost to correct the problem correctly? It this problem something that has been corrected with the new versions of the hardware or it is likely to recur?

    Thanks for your help.

At $3k I will deal with the problem. Looks like the apps you suggest are Droid only. Hopefully someone will recommend equivalent iOS apps, but actually the bypass seems to be the best option.

Thank you for you help. I do appreciate it.
