My truck is in “limp mode” because of the diagnostic problem shown above. Two questions 1) my engine is a 4.7 but the part for sale online says for a 5.7. Is it the same part? 2) I can’t get it fixed for 2 weeks. If I drive to work on limp mode (15 miles a day) will it wreck the engine?

If you can't fix it now, disconnect your battery for 15 mins or so & it'll clear the codes (get it out of limp mode) for a time. Hopefully a long time.

Are you talking about the Hewitt bypass system? I would call them to confirm it will work on your engine.

I just installed the Hewitt SAIS Bypass in my 2007 4.7l tundra and so far it works great, 3 weeks in w it. I had the code P2440, which was a valve stuck open in bank 1 (drivers side).

Try disconnecting the battery, like Trident mentioned above. Should work if your pressure sensor isn’t blown, yet. If disconnecting the battery clears the codes initially but then truck goes back into limp mode shortly after, then you likely blew out the pressure sensor. I drove mine in limp mode for 3-4 weeks while trying to figure if I was going to replace the pump or just do the bypass, and wound up damaging the pressure sensor for the bank so I had to buy the Pressure Sensor Option from them as well.

I say save yourself a few thousand and get the SAIS Bypass kit.

@WA_Hall2021 first We appreciate you recommending the HT SAIS Bypass Kit. @Glasgow If you have any question do not hesitate to DM or give us a call. However, I do want to note: Repeatedly clearing codes and continuing to drive the vehicle with a” Valve Stuck Open” code can cause damage to the Pressure Sensor. Further neglecting this code can even result in damage to the ECM. If you have damaged the Pressure Sensor a Kit Addon will be needed in addition to the Bypass Kit. Also wanted to provide some additional resource.
