No BBS Motorsport product should ever be powder coated due to the effects the curing process has upon the original heat treatment and structural integrity of the product. Secondly, if re-painting any BBS wheel component, special care must be taken to keep all mounting surfaces free of any coating or paint.

I appreciate the concern, I reached out to BBS and their customer service team said the wheels would be fine to powder coat by a professional shop that knows what temperature to bake at without risking the structural integrity of the wheel. In addition, the business I used has powder coated many different wheels, including BBS, of all different materials and never had a customer return with complaints of wheel failure.
