The transmission in my tundra quit shifting into overdrive. I’ve drove it 3 times like this and can’t get it to work, it doesn’t seem to be slipping or getting hot. I always shut off overdrive when towing but it does have around 350,000 miles on it. Has anyone had similar problems?

I had this problem on my 2005 Tundra. The wire that connects to the OD button on the turn signal stalk gets pinchide to the point it exposes the wire and grounds out. It's a simple fix. Just take off the steering column cover top and bottom to get access to the wire...wrap it nice and tight where it's exposed with electrical tape and put the steering column back on.

    Second response:

"If you turn the steering wheel to the left and right you will see 2 screws holding the steering covers together, then there is a screw on the bottom side ,middle of the lower steering cover. Remove the screws and pop off the top cover. The O/D wire is either pinched or has a small break in it and can be easily repaired, or you have a bad O/D switch and the shifter will have to be replaced. (I don't think the O/D switch comes separately)."

I put some electrical tape over the wire. Was a super quick fix.
