We picked her up in Nashville, early 2020

Needed a tow vehicle for our 23' couples' travel trailer

She had all her service records and two apparently responsible previous owners...she'd clocked 215k miles by this point but her timing belt had been twice replaced and documented, with all regular maintenance done...we liked her on first sight and paid a whopping $6,500 to take her home

Since then she's pulled us from TN to Key West (twice) to Maine to New Mexico to Toronto to Utah, all without a moment's trouble

Now pushing 275k miles, and with us planning future trips to the Rockies in both the US and Canada, we're thinking of giving the good girl a rest and a lighter load going forward

Thinking of a Gen 2 with around 100k on the clock

Would welcome advice as to staying with the 4.6 or stepping up to the 5.7

We're glad to find this find forum and thank Bob for his hosting of it

    Sincerely,
    Ken & Victoria

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! I'm not sure you could go wrong with either engine.
