Okay, I have looked everywhere on google and here. I need to pick everyone's brains.

Initially, the check engine light threw a P0771 code. Then I did the below:

My OBDII reader tells me it's a Shift Solenoid E issue but I cannot find any literature anywhere telling me what the "E" solenoid is regarding its location. I did drop my trans oil pan and I tested ALL solenoids, and they all were functionally "clicking" when I applied power. I had put everything back together and refilled new ATF and now P0771 went away but now I am throwing P0986.

Next steps is to check connectors for corrosion and or wiring damages. I am here to plea to the community for the shift solenoid E location.

Thanks to everyone! And if there is already (I'm sure there are) a thread on this, please direct me there.

Update: I checked the 15pin connector and I found that there were corrosion and 2 broken pins from the mating connector. I was fortunate to be ablet extract the broken pins from this connector. I am now in search of the mating connector that's on the transmission case. I cannot locate this part number and I cannot physically remove it from the case neither. Any help is appreciated. Many thanks!

Update #2: I have located the part number for the Transmission Wire Harness. (82125-60651) My local Toyota dealership lists this item at $81.34 online as of 11/2023. I was able to find it on ebay for ~$37. My next steps are to remove the transmission oil pan, disconnect all the connectors, and then remove the transmission wire and replace it with the new one. I am hoping this will solve my issue. More to come on my final update tomorrow when I procure the transmission wire.

Big mods are coming soon, but not too soon.
