Can you buy the piece circled in green individually or only comes with the entire strut mount? My strut mounts seems fine but the piece of rubber or whatever it sits on seems blown out.

McGeorge Toyota has the “retainer” listed but I have been able to confirm whether or not that’s actually the correct part to replace, or if I’ll need to get entirely new strut mounts.

Retainer is #23 on the diagram from McGeorge Toyota

    Call them or ask @shifty`
That looks like what you want but those diagrams suck. Might be the little rubber bushing.

Yea I don't know where else it would go other than what I think its for...trying to spend $20 instead of $120.

I think that's what you want. But...who draws this shit? That could really be the shock stem bushing.

Seriously, they give us the part but no clear direction on where or what it goes to.

Abort. That's a stem washer or bushing.

Damn, looks like I'll need the entire mount then. Where does that part go though?--the washer/bushing?

It looks like #25 is the top hat or whatever and the rubber combined.

Correct, 25 is the TopHat/strut mount whatever you wanna call it. But where would 23 go? I thought that was maybe a “sub piece” of 25 which is why I started looking more into to save some money.

I'm going with #23 and #22 go on the top of the assembly. Top of the shock stem. I can't say with 100% certainty, but looks that way.

Probably so, my current front suspension is 100% stock so I am going to look tomorrow and see if there is any rubber piece on top of the strut mount. I don't know what the purpose of that would be other than to reduce vibrations.

Looking closer I think if it was to go on top of the strut mount the picture given on the diagram should show three holes where the studs would go through. Now I really confused the shit out of myself

That rubber piece you want goes between the spring and the top hat, that's why no bolt holes.

Yea I am talking about piece 23, if it were to go on top of strut mount I'd think they would put three holes on the diagram picture.

Oh, that. It's like 1.25-1.5" in diameter and sits above the top hat. Well inside of the 3 bolts. Again, check my work, but I'm pretty sure.
