Toyota does a pretty good job with the stock intake. Not much to gain. Not to familiar with the V-6 airbox but I would assume it’s similar. Just put in a better flowing air filter and call it a day.

Do you mean a real cold Air intake or a Short Ram intake?

Most of the things that people call a cold air intake are actually short ram intakes which actually pull in WARM air from under your hood.

Most stock air systems pull cold Air from outside your vehicle. In tests the warm air of the short ram intake usually cancels out its benefits.
