This has probably already been covered, but here goes. 2003 tundra that goes between 4hi and 4low fine, but just flashes 4hi when attempting to go to 2wd. I took apart the rear transfer case actuator and cleaned it, but it made no difference. I should say, the gear fell out and it took a long time get it in the correct position; I couldn't find any videos that showed how to calibrate this model, but after much trial and error I was successful. Still, no 2wd. If I understand what I've read correctly, there is also a front actuator, so this could be the problem?

If by front actuator you mean the one on the front diff I don't think that would be your issue. Sometimes with mine I need to move forwards or backwards a couple meters while its trying to engage or disengae to get it to work.

    unfortunately I can't offer anymore help/advice.
