    Hey, All.
Just picked up an 03 with 237k. My work owned the truck and they guy who drove it was fairly anal about keeping up with the service. Unfortunately, he let his daughter drive it when she was in high school so every section of the car except for the driver front fender has big dents. LOL. On the surface, the engine seems fine. Runs strong. But I'll be doing a compression test on it this weekend before I buy a shell for it. The steering box whines a bit but I can turn the wheel with my index finger. I found some service records and looks like he got new front brake pads and rotors along with rear drum pads a few months ago. The timing belt was replaced last year (13k miles ago). Rebuilt rack and pinion was installed around the same time.

All in all, I'd say its decent truck for the $2k I paid. I probably wont worry about all the dents, but keeping my eye out on craigslist for a new passenger side crew door.

Now off to do some thread searching on here :)

    Okay, here's some pics

    Only section without a dent

If there was something to run into, she did!

Fluids look pretty good (tranny fluid might need to be changed). Engine oil has 500 miles on it.

Typical dirt/dust on the engine, but really only one oil leak from what I can tell

Not the best pic, but no frame rot

I think dents give it character. Some of us including myself :( are too scared to give our trucks real war wounds . Those dents are badges of honor

Honestly, they dont bother me much. Except maybe the passenger door. I do want to deal with the bent rear bumper and the side rail brackets. I also want to get new-to-me wheels and flares. A shell and radio are on the list, but again, this all really depends on the compression test results.

Just did a compression test. I got the engine up to temp, but by the time I got all the spark plugs out, it did cool down a bit.
