I have a 2003 4 wheel drive Tundra and I'm having to put in another engine. The old one locked up due to oil pressure.
The connectors that are behind the glove box are different from the original and the replacement engine. I don't know if the replacement engine came out of a 4wd or not.
I attached the pics of the 2 connector differences. the one with the blue connector is on the replacement engine.
    How do I fix this?
thanks in advance for any help,
    Greg

I think I can swap the entire wiring harness, but I was hoping for an easier solution.

You need to swap the harness from the old engine to the new one. Year to year and options. Change the harness.
If you have a 05-06 engine it will not work with your truck without a fair bit of custom wiring, and a different transmission

General rule of thumb is to always use the harness and ECU from the donor engine with any swap, period. Lesson I learned the hard very early on and will never make again. Big mistake others have missed when doing swaps here also, and it costs them a lot of painstaking time and money trying to sort it all out after the fact.

But in this case, '05 and '06 are vvti. Lots more electronics.

It is a 2004 engine but I don't know if it came off a 4wd.

The 04 EWD Connector List does not show a blue connector like that. This engine came from a Tundra ?

My truck is not a double cab, just an extended cab.

90% sure the double cabs engine harnesses are pretty different due to the body side integration of the ECM being different.

you will want to use the harness from your original engine

the main difference for the body integration side comes from the fact that the double cabs had body control computers. access and reg cab all had integration relays (older style.)
