Does anyone know if prebent steel brakes line can be purchased for a 2003 SR5 access cab? I don't mind buying from the Toyota dealer but I'd like to be able to give them part numbers vs trying to explain what I need.

So, here's the deal. If you order thru the Toyota Parts site before Monday at midnight, you can score another 25% off. You should be able to pick the parts up at a local participating dealer too, and it'll be way cheaper than going to the counter.

You need part numbers. Go here and plug your VIN into the search box, then click SEARCH.

Click on "Transmission and Chassis" link.

You should see two pictures on that page, scroll to the 2nd, and look in the list next to the picture and click the link for "47-08 - BRAKE TUBE & CLAMP".

See the first pic? Click on the "Open full size scheme" link under that pic.

In the larger pic, it should look like this. You see all those 5-digit numbers, some with a letter at the end? Hover your mouse over the number that points to the part you need and it'll tell you the part name. CLICK on the number and it'll barf out the part number.

Like, I clicked on the number I boxed in red up there, and this is what I see. Your part number will be the 10-digit number in the picture (Note there's more words after this picture with details you need to know).

Ah, so we have two part numbers for my truck here. WHAT THE FUCK?! Which one is right, you might wonder.

Well, I doubt you'll see this on your 2003 because I don't think VSC was a thing on yours! But if you do, I see the 2nd part number shows "VSC". That means the top part is for trucks that DO NOT have "Auto LSD" (VSC) traction control. If you have it, there would be a button in your dash next to the 4WD buttons (if you're 2WD, it'll be on the left-hand side of the shiny clock panel). But given I don't think they started doing this until 2004, I reckon you will just have one part number.

Copy the part number down. Go to https://autoparts.toyota.com and plug in that part number. When you search their national system, and find the part, IGNORE THE MSRP PRICE! Trust me here.

It will give you a bunch of links to "SHOP THIS DEALER". Click on the first, closest dealer to your ZIP code in the list. Check the price. If there's another nearby dealer, feel free to click the BACK button in your browser and view their price. Every dealer has a different MSRP discount they offer. You may find a dealer a few miles farther out that's giving 10-20% more discount. Save yourself some $$.

When you find the cheapest dealer, add the part to your cart. Then search for any additional parts and add those to the cart.

When you go to checkout, if you order in the next 24 hours while the sale is still happening, they'll take another 25% off your cart!

Anyway, hope this is clear and it helps.

Note: Some of the lines may be too long to ship to you directly ($$$). In such case order online and pick up at your nearest participating dealer.

But it has to be picked up from the online parts dealership that you purchased from, right?

    Right!

https://autoparts.toyota.com/ will give you a listing of nearby participating dealers...however, they're not always the lowest prices.

I think this is for select few states. My dealer in PA did not have extra 25% off.

Here is the "fine print" for 25% off:

    What he said ^^

If you can wait a few extra days, order before midnight tonight from https://autoparts.serratoyota.com

No tax. Free ship over $75. 25% off your part. Not the instant gratification we all love, but time saved and convenience == money.

I do believe someone mentioned some of the brake lines may be too long for shipping so I am mentioning that it only applies to shippable parts from dealers in those states.

I'm not entire sure the sale only applies in the southeast. I'm literally in a side convo with another member who is definitely not in SE USA and the sale is going over there too.

But yes, whichever dealer you pick in their list is where you gotta pickup. And each participating dealer near you may have different discount beyond the sale discount, and/or are within their right to refuse participation, possibly? All I can tell you is this: The discount WILL NOT show up until you hit the checkout page. And when you do, it'll be clearly shown, as you see here: "25% off parts sale". I was pricing out CV axles a minute ago out of curiosity. Roughly $280 per before tax. Not bad!

Tried 2 different dealers near me and there is no 25% off sale. So, it does look like it is regional or my region (Philly Suburb) is excluded. Of course, since shipping is free, I say if it is an item that can be shipped, there is no reason not to take advantage of this even if your local dealer does not participate and you can wait for the parts.
