    Hello,
I am having a weird issue. My door open light is remaining on even with door securely closed. So far here are things that I have checked.

    1. Checked/replaced door contact sensors ( both sides)
    2. Manually closed the latch locks to no avail
    3. Yes - if I select the dome lights on door instead of off, the dome light comes on. It would stay on with current issue but I have set option to off ( same for map lights).
    4. I pulled the bulbs for dome, map lights, door side lights, all to no avail
    5. Lastly if I pull the dome fuse from under the hood, the light does turn off.

Did I miss anything is the circuit loop? Anything else I should check?

done any changes to audio system or installed any led lights anywhere? any electrical additions made to the truck? And you are speaking of the reminder light on the dash, or do the actual interior lights stay on as well?

    Hi Frichco228,
No change to audio system. I had recently installed a set of toyota logo lights to replace the door light at bottom. I have disconnected those but issue remains. The "door open" light on dash is what I am referring to. Also when I click the lock doors on remote it beeps that doors are not closed.

I do realize you have "Checked/replaced door contact sensors" but if you remove all those sensors at the same time, what is the affect. Obviously an erroneous gnd is some where.

Yup, I removed both sensors same time and still no joy. I did recall last year I had BestBuy upgrade the security system. So I made an appointment with them to double check their work. I suspect now that they spliced some wire during install that has worked its way free. I did notice they spliced into the wiring harness under steering wheel next to fuse box.

Curious if this has been going on since best buy or recently popped up ?

Until best buy trip, I would consider lightly bopping wires/harness under there, each time checking light, eventually you might come across shorted to gnd conductor

    good luck….post back any findings

Install at BestBuy was on 9/02/20 since then only issue I had the next day was the drivers door actuator didn’t work. Took truck back and they fixed that. Since then no issues. I did try disconnecting the wire harness and I can confirm the door locks stopped working but light remains on. Anyone have a pin out of this harness? I am searching now because shouldn’t I be able to short the pin connecting to drivers door? Then if light goes out would confirm a short somewhere? Here are some pics.

That just caught my eye. The FSM shows that an AC has at least 4 of what they refer to as "Courtesy SW" which is what my DC has. You sure there are not 2 button switches you need to check ?

BubbaW, thx for diagram. I am going to check again. I can only find 2 switches, maybe the other 2 are hidden on access cab door somewhere. Checking now

Update to close this issue out. Finally got back to Best Buy and long story short it was a connection to the new alarm I had installed. From the installer they needed to add a diode and tapped into the door switch another way. Anyway all is good now. Thank for all help...
