fixed (some of the) broken things.
I need help. My tundra has 200,000 miles (almost). It is my daily driver, and i want to fix it up mechanically. It hits hard on bumps, so I bought 2 new shock/strut assemblies for the front. Turns out I have a lot more to do. One of the upper ball joints has a lot of play. Funny enough, in the last 6 years I have had both tires come off. Luckily at low speeds. Those are on order (rockauto). Climbing underneath I found the rack and pinion to be wet with oil, and the fluid was low. currently I am googling replacement videos, my question is simple. "How far down the rabbit hole should I go?" I know need to check the LBJ. I am going to replace the upper ball joints, shock/struts, and the wheel bearings. Now It appears the rack and pinion. How much should I automatically replace? Hoses, bushing, add a filter?

In the end, what can I check so I can replace pre-failure. All brakes/rotors and drums are new. rear bearings are new. The rack and pinion is my biggest known question. What exactly should be checked or replaced along with it.

Thanks for reading, and thanks for any and all help.
