    Hello,

I'm posting this for my father. He has a 2000 Tundra with 365,000 miles.

He's having trouble with the marker lights staying on and controlling the starter.

When you turn on the headlights, the starter disengages. If you turn them off, the truck dies.

We're not sure where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

When you turn headlight switch off, marker lights stay on as well

Start with looking at bad relays in the fuse box under the hood. Also, maybe some bad/corroded grounds and/or loose wires. Fresh battery?

Here is a pic of a 2002 fuse box under hood. Your dads may look slightly different.
