My 2000 Tundra will turn off occasionally when I shift it into reverse. It will restart ok. It seems to happen often when I reverse down a steep driveway. Could this be an old fuel filter problem?

I recently cleaned the throttle body, replaced air filter and MAF sensor. I notice some slight kick and flutter in idle as well.

I also notice that when I turn on the battery and then the lights, I get a loud whining noise. The engine is not running in this case. I wonder if there is a connection between the two.

The engine Has about 80k on it, it was a refurbished replacement to the original.
