I was recently gifted a first gen tundra and I am trying to find out the best way to fit a 3 year old and a 5 month old. The passenger seat is rarely is ever used. Does anyone in this group have any suggestions on the best type of car seat or setup that will work?

What kind of cab are we talking here? Both kids at the same time?

If your passenger seat is available, you put the 5 month old in the front, rear facing, with the passenger airbag turned off, and the three year old in the center of the rear seat, facing forward.

If you have another adult in the front seat, its a trick, you can put one full sized car seat in the middle of the rear bench seat, and a booster on the side, but three is too young for a booster to work, and two full sized car seats won't fit in the back, at least not in mine.

I think @Aerindel is right on point. I have only put an infant rear facing in the middle back seat of my AC (for my nephew right now) and I don't think there will be room for a 3 year-old to also be in the back; even if you pulled the passenger seat all the way forward.
