Purchased a 2000 Toyota Tundra yesterday from the original owner. 80 year old man with 53k miles. Looking forward to driving it and adding some more miles.

Welcome. I had those exact tires about 15 years ago! Check the date on them. Good find on the truck!

Your call. Those were the best tires I ever had. Had them for 6 years and put 70k miles on them and they still looked and smelled new. Only reason I replaced them was the 6 year rule as I tow/haul and error on safety.

I’d still be on them probably as they never wore out. The following tire was the M/S 2 (good but a let down compared to the original). Now its the Defender LTX (pretty good actually).

Yes, I think they are 7-8 years old which was my reading for replacing them. Haven’t actually seen the truck in person yet so I’ll have to wait and see.

Wow, nice find! I had an '01 TRD, bought brand new. Kinda wish I never got rid of it. They were the perfect sized truck, my '18 feels a little bloated.

If you live in a snowy area, I highly recommend Falken Wildpeak AT3W. They are snowflake rated, all terrain tires. They look great and perform incredible at a really good price. I went through our nasty late winter in Oregon with 0 issues. I’ve had BFGs, Toyos, Wranglers, etc. The price and performance package are unbeatable in my opinion.

    Welcome to the forum.
Michelin tires are pricey but they are some of the best.

One owner old-man trucks are the best...I bought one back in January. They usually don't drive much and are religious on maintenance...mine was...

Nice score! Welcome from CO. Check out the Cooper Discoverer AT3 series tires, especially the XLT. I think there are now three tread patterns to choose from depending where and how you drive.

I will be in North Central KS. What would be some good tire options to look into. I would like something reliable, not going to hurt the mpg and quiet. Suggestions?
