2000 Toyota Tundra 4.7l 2WD Transmission

Hey!
My truck's transmission is starting to slip a little bit, talked to a few guys and I am sure that it is the transmission and there is not anything I can really do about it. Truck has 220k miles, and engine is still strong, and I really dont want to sell it. So I have a few questions.
1) Would anyone have a 2wd transmission up for sale?
2) What would I need to do in order to change it to 4wd? I know I'll need to do transmission, transfer case, front and rear drivetrain, and possibly a straight rear axle. I don't mind putting the work into it, I just need to know what needs to be done so I can possibly start looking for parts - I know it would be easier to just buy a 4wd, and if totally necessary I will do that, Just thought it might be a fun thing to look into.

Best bet would be to look for a totaled 4wd truck and park them next to each other to swap parts.

 

Look into the buy/sell /trade section on this site. I think I saw one for sale right up your alley. Keep us posted.
