Our daughter is moving to Dallas from KC with my old 2000 Tundra Limited. What are the best tires for her? For those of you familiar with Dallas (met my wife there), the roads get very slick after rains.

    Thanks in advance for recommendations!

No mods, other than our daughter removing the muffler for more rumble.

I’m very happy with my Coopers. They do pretty well on wet, slippery roads and are still quiet on dry roads.

I given up Jeeping in Colorado and mudding while deer hunting in Louisiana with those huge mud grips and found the Michelin Defender tires are about best all around and especially good in wet conditions. I can tell you about that Duratecs that came with my Tundra. While on a new asphalt road in Louisiana I could not take off from a traffic light by letting off on brake or trying to accelerate, just would not move with many blowing at me. Next day drove to Discount Tire for the Defender's no problem since.
I live and drive in southeast Texas just south of Dallas.

I was always happy with Yokohama G015s, and also with Hankook Dynapro ATs, during the ten years I had my 2002 (just sold a few months ago). But I have to say that I would seriously look at Michelin Defender LTX m/s for your given application. They are excellent.
