Finally got around to installing a few upgrades to my new 23 platinum. Been waiting to install the trd pro grill until I decided what light bars to install in the grill opening, and on the lower grill as well. I wanted to save some money and decided to try the lasfit 20 inch light bars. Was going to get the lasfit light pods as well but got an extremely good deal on some rigid pods I couldn't pass up. I went with the Wescottdesigns mounting bracket for the grill light bar and used some tacoma light bar mounts for the lower grill light bar. I had to chop and measure the tacoma brackets to fit but they worked out great with some self tapping screws directly to the crash bar. Got the oem looking buttons from caliraised as well as their dual light harnesses so both light bars and light pods are activated by a single buttons. These light bars throw some serious light, and the rigid dss pro pods are very bright as well for ditch lights. Overall they worked out exactly how I wanted and I saved about $900 over buying premium light bars. I'll update the post if I have any issues with the lasfits.

Looks nice. I kinda dig the dark chrome now that there's less of it. Was going to color matching mine when I swap grills but now you have me second guessing that.

I wanted to color match the mustache as well, but it does give it a nice accent with the smoke chrome. I think the silver makes it look better than some of the other truck colors

    Looks really good, clean install.

Curious about the dark chrome grille surround? Vinyl?

I guess I'm having trouble seeing, did you have to cut your grill out? Also the mounts you linked, they look different than the ones you used? All the pics except the last one showed mounts that are flush with the crash bar, the last one shows them sticking out quite a bit. I'm looking for the ones that are close fitting ( don't want to trim or cut my bumper )

So no cutting of the grill is needed, it will fit with the grill as is. The different camera angles do make it look more flush one one pic and further out from the crash bar on the other. The mount I Linked will work perfect, you want the light bar sticking out from the crash bar and right behind the bumper mesh, I had to cut and drill the mounts to fit the bar perfectly, if you want a plug an play option get the westcott designs light bar mounting brackets, but those will run you $150. Otherwise $20 and a little cutting and drilling will get you the same result with the mounts I used

Ok, awesome! I planned to do this somewhat budget. I will say it does look more flush. I do plan to drill into the crash bar, was hoping to not modify anything else, so im glad yo hear that I don't need too. Thank you very much for your quick response

Pretty much the same result; I'm still amazed how some of these companies can charge ppl $100+ for these brackets with a straight look on their face.
For "BP": i did cut the grate out in that opening as I didn't want/need that thin line of plastic obstructing the light output. Your call on this one; many ppl cut them out, some don't.

My old thread is here, if anyone cares or wants additional info for reference/etc:

    Have fun.
