Does anyone know the part number for the ENTUNE 3.0 non JBL head unit with factory nav?

I am thinking it may be 86140-0C390 but would like to confirm if anyone knows for sure. I am looking to transplant one into my 2018.

From what I understand the non nav units wont transmit info to the multi information display in the instrument cluster.

Below is a list of available Tundra Stereo part numbers:
    RECEIVER ASSY, RADIO & DISPLAY

    86140-0C201 1
    86140-0C211 SOUTH AMERICA SPEC 1
    86140-0C340 CANADA SPEC (08/2019 - ) 1
    86140-0C350 (08/2019 - 08/2021) 1
    86140-0C380 CANADA SPEC&AUDIO-AVN & 9SPEAKER 1
    86140-0C390 AUDIO-AVN & 9SPEAKER 1
    86140-0C420 AUDIO-AVN & JBL & 12PEAKER 1

Did you get yours to work?

You will need a harness as well.

There are a few that have done it. I would have to find the thread....I think it had links and part numbers. I believe the harness was around $200.

I did. I got a Non JBL unit with NAV from a 21 TRD Pro. OEM # 86140-0C391

    I bought the following harness.

    https://www.autoharnesshouse.com/entune.html

I also ordered their expensive USB adapter. Everything works great.

Could someone post a part number for JBL units? I have an ‘18 with JBL and would love to upgrade to ‘20-21.

(If anyone has a laying one around or knows a great place to get one please let me know)

    Much appreciated! This forum rocks!

Don't forget to consider the cost of the harness as well. The connectors are different for the 20/21's.

I am pretty sure it's 86140-0C420. If I remember correctly you have to swap out the factory JBL amp for the newer amplifier as well.

Thanks! I see 86140-0C430 as well, I wonder what’s the difference. That’s a good question regarding JBL amp, I hope someone can confirm!

If you have the JBL, you will also need to get the '20-'21 amp as well. Something else to consider.

Hi MaxPower.. would you happen to have pics of the unit before you installed it? Curious to see what the back of the unit looks like to see if it’s compatible with my current harness. Thxs

Yes, you get Apple play. I purchased the exact same radio model and harness. Works perfect.

Have you had any issue with using off brand usb cables? I can only get the Apple ones to work properly.

Do you know where I can purchase one of those head units and how difficult is to do the swap?

    I swapped non-JBL in my 2019 SR5 to non-JBL with Nav, from 2018 or 17. Bolt on.

Wife's 2022 Sequoia has JBL with everything it can ever have. Honestly I think it is not worth it if you have to deal with amp and harness and everything. Just not much juice over what you can have on your smartphone.

If you plan to sell yours, don't forget to factory reset it or at least remove your phone and home address before unplugging it =)

Can anybody give me some help about this? I have a 2017 that does not have JBL. I’m hoping to swap into a head unit from a 2020/2021. Can the new head unit have JBL or do I need one without in order for it to work in my 2017.

Any input or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

From my experience, no, you would have to get a non-JBL unit as you would need the harness for the amp. Would it be possible? Yes, but you would have to do a lot of figuring out with wiring if you wanted to add an amp.

If I were to do it over again, I would just get an aftermarket unit. I've spent the equivalent or more to now have issues with voice operations using a iPhone 16. My thinking would be a aftermarket unit would be more stable with CarPlay.

I have had 2 aftermarket radios in my 2020, they suck!!!! I’m going to go with a 2021 with the wireless apple play. Both aftermarket’s have had GPS issues, glitch like crazy, have to shut off the radio and restart, the only thing I like is I can click on the camera display and check on my trailer behind me, but for actually using the camera for backing up, there’s a black box with text in it, some kind of warning crap and it blocks half the screen. The first aftermarket would glitch and put me a half mile away, the guy who installed the 2nd radio said that was a gps antenna issue. Well this second radio the gps will show me driving backwards for a half mile sometimes more before it gets turned around. If I am trying to zig zag a couple blocks, I want to see where I am going, not where I’ve been. I have spent around $5k on aftermarket radios. I’m done.

The 2021 OEM radio does not have wireless carplay. It’s the same radio that was in your 2020 before you went down the aftermarket rabbit hole.

A friend has the 2021 and his has wireless CarPlay. Must depend on radio model?

Nope. Not in the tundra - they are all wired only.
Unless he is using an aftermarket wireless carplay dongle link CarLinkIt or similar
