Around 2 years ago I installed a leveling kit on my 02 tundra before doing that I replaced all suspension components ( UCA, LCA, ball joints, tie rods, struts) with OEM parts, earlier this year the truck started shaking while going 70mph took it to the tire shop thinking I needed the tires rebalanced since the components are fairly new, the tires where bad due to the ball joints and tie rods. Did anyone have a similar problem if so how did y'all fix the issue? Or any advice on what I can do to fix the issue

Did you ever get an alignment during any of this?

Shaking starting at 70mph sounds purely like wheel balance issue.

To be clear, you installed the Eibach pro-comp kit? What else did you upgrade with that 2.5" lift? Swaybar links? Aftermarket UCA? Or did you just go OEM with everything else, not bothering to compensate for geometry changes of that lift?

I'd get a 2nd opinion. Tires don't go bad due to brand new ball joints and tie rods, they go bad because someone does a shit job of dialing in your alignment, because they don't know how to handle lifted trucks.

You did get realigned after the work, right? What were the numbers you ended up with?

Yeah I got an alignment as soon as I replaced everything.

I assumed I didn't need an aftermarket UCA since I didn't see any recommendations for a leveling kit.

I don't remember exactly what the numbers are since it was 2 years ago.

2.5" isn't a leveling kit, it's a lift. At 3.5" lift you're basically close to maxing out what the suspension on these trucks can do with basic suspension parts. It only takes 1" - 1.25" to level on these trucks (at least mine is ~1.125" difference front to rear, stock).

If you have an Access Cab (AC) as it appears, knowing many kits for these trucks are made for Double Cab (DC), which are heavier and different geometry, who knows how much actual lift you got out of it. Extended swaybar links would help with travel. Aftermarket UCA would help with alignment. Did you do anything to the rear, or just install the kit for the front?

But really, I think you know the problem already: It sounds like your wheels are out of balance. Do you see uneven wear on them, edge wear especially? Have you tried rotating your tires front to rear? Did you ever rotate the tires since the lift install?

Ahhh what leveling kit do you have?

I just installed the kit in the front.

It was more of an uneven wear.

I opted for coilovers to lift.

Uneven wear often = bad alignment.

Can you give us a pic of the affected tire? Just looking to see what type of wear you're dealing with ... edge wear like this?

Assuming the wear is on the inside of the tire, camber is fucked, need a better alignment shop. A good shop will check joints and bushings for play before alignment. If shit is worn, the alignment won’t hold and you’ll be back to square one.

Any play in the steering rack? Mine seems to have about 3/16" at the edge of the tire, but more might be able to get some death wobble going.
