In search of a unicorn here…
Is there such thing as a Crewmax Longbed (6.5ft). I went through the brochure for model year 2020, and it looks like the answer is No for that year, but is anyone aware of that being an option on a different model year? (Crewmax only, I’m aware it’s available with the access cab.)

Double cab long bed or crew max 5.5 are your options.

You’re going to need to shop the 3rd generation Tundra (2022+) for a Crewmax 6.5’ bed. Toyota never made a Crewmax bed longer than 5.5’ in the 2007-2021 model range. Or you can splice the frame and make your own.

Would be fun to do the opposite and put a 5.5ft bed on a single cab haha (then supercharge, etc). To answer OP I believe there are a few companies doing 6.5ft beds on crewmax conversions, otherwise have to buy a Grande Taco or a competitor.

I have a very large custom cargo hitch basket that I consider to be like a second truck bed. For size reference, I haul my garden tractor on it sometimes. Way more combined cargo space than an 8' bed. No trailer storage or maintenance issues, a little bit heavy though. No need to replace the truck and lose the cavernous back seat. Simply replaced the stock junk leaf packs and added Roadmaster Active Suspension to keep the headlights on the road. Plenty of ground clearance with 3" lift. Rides like a Cadillac on road trips with a good 700lbs or so in the basket. Magnetic trailer lights and E load rated tires complete the pkg.

This guy did a terrible job by extending a weaker part of the frame. The strength in the C channel frame under the cab is where I would’ve made the cut and extension.

I’m doing the opposite, cutting a DC frame to shorten it so that I can install a 5.5’ bed. I think adding a 6.5’ bed to a CM would be easier though.
