Yes, I saw your posting of that, and it does interest me. Great way to spend with a lady-friend some afternoon. Tu for reminding me.

I wasn't too far from you recently. Went horseback riding in Benson. Great time, great host and great weather.

The Dragoons is a fantastic place to visit.

i was thinking - that seems familiar. Had to look it up. Yup I've been there. Actually twice. Can a person have traveled too much?

Oh, also, funny story. You can see my camper shell hanging by ratchet straps in the garage. My brother in law was here this week for Christmas. I originally used a 2x4” and a 1x6” deck board that was pretty bowed, but found a 2x4 and wanted to replace the deck board. So I predrilled the new 2x4” and tell my brother in law I’d lift the camper shell while he hurriedly unscrewed the eye bolts and swapped out the boards.

We got it done but BARELY. Turning 40 must be when you start overestimating your abilities to shoulder press a 150 pounds and then realize you’ll be doing it without locking elbows because the camper’s already touching the ceiling. Wish we’d have recorded it. Ended up resting it on my head.

Glad to hear! Az is a beautiful state, and its variations are breathtaking. They truly have to be experienced. Pictures really do the state no justice. So, to answer your question, IMHO, no. But, that's also true of the rest of the world, too. I admit my bias for the desert southwest :D

Desert Southwest is the best, so your bias is a natural conclusion.

I believe so. Funny thing is, I'm an Irish kid raised in the streets of Boston and everything New England, culturally. Still have family up that way. I'm a country-boy, at heart, and happy here more than anywhere else, and I've been around. Globally.

I’m sad last time work sent me to PHX, I didn’t swing by and hang with @FrenchToasty, I got sucked up with other work related shenanigans. Had I realized they’d lay me off several months later, I would’ve dropped everything a bounced down to t-town.

No telling when I’ll be out west again. But I definitely need to get out that way before too long.

I enjoyed traveling thru the deserts of AZ and NM. Took the road less traveled omw home from T2S 23, instead of the I-10. The scenery was awesome. It took me thru tons of small towns, a few Indian reservations, even Roswell. Once I got to TX I just remember hitting Marathon, San Angelo, and finally Junction before the I-10.

I'm not a gambler, but next T2S I'm going to plan my trip before and take more time off, so I can stay a night at a casino.
I assume some tribes don't sell fire water. But maybe they'll sell herb, mushrooms and cacti.:D

    Sì.
I just gotta get off my ass and start tearing down my front end and rebuild with new parts sooner than later.

I guess i should inspect my tie rods bellows to see if I can reuse or go ahead and buy some new ones. I need it to stop raining for a few days.

Hey does someone have Bezos recommendations for a third brake light and AC control knobs? Finally busted one of my knobs and tired of swapping them out with this crazy azz Texas winter weather! Switching between heat and AC and dash and defrost on the same day wreaks havoc on that brittle plastic.

Ourisman is $107 for new OEM right now, complete assembly: https://toyotaparts.ourismantoyotao...oyota-center-high-mount-stop-light-815700c010

Someone said Ourisman is having a 35% off sale at one of their portals (they have 3) but I can't figure out if that's the one or not. I'd say $~60 off is pretty substantial discount.

I did these knobs. It was actually a worthwhile upgrade: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0D1CDTZLR?ie=UTF8

I like these knobs but they are slightly harder to turn than the original ones. Especially the middle temperature one. I found that it gets worse if they are pushed all the way on the post. So I've had to back them off a hair. Still slightly concerned about it, so I make sure to use care when adjusting. The old brittle plastic makes me nervous.

Well boys... P0770 was fixed up until yesterday. Was driving over in the city with the girlfriend when it popped back up. Drove about 5 miles and the transmission started making grinding sounds, giving off burnt trans smells, slipping, all not good. Even came to a stop once and the truck did not want to go back into gear. Had it towed to a transmissions shop. They said I needed a new transmission. Then took it over to an indy Toyota shop to get a second opinion. Transmission pan was full of metal chunks. New trans got ordered, taking two weeks and has a 100k mile warranty. Not what I wanted, but it's what happened.
