Very cool, but you'd probably need to engine swap, maybe put something EFI in it. I doubt you'd find the parts needed and even if you did, no guarantee the block is good. That thing has taken a shitload of water, also. Super cool looking though.

Nope. Was pretty sure it was predetermined and JP was going to "win", but I don't bet on sports or politics.

If it starts, try starting it and if it fires up, slap the gas tank repeatedly and see if it keeps running. If so, fuel pump is probably bad. But don't discount fuel filter as the source of your problem. Seriously.

That said, I'd need to know the engine to dig on it. Verifying time is probably a good idea, if it's got a timing belt, check for issues. Don't discount the ECU/ECM, they do go bad on all vehicles under the right circumstances.

It was such a boring fight, and definitely suspect it was predetermined. Tyson made some easy money and JP got another easy win.

4mil for JP's risk, since you never know what Tyson's gonna do, play nice? bite a body part off? 2mil to Tyson to play the game.

I'm talking if money and skills required were not an object. Full custom.
I can just see the potential. I have a thing for old/rare compact trucks being made into minitrucks. Really gets the blood flowing to the peepee

Totally. I ran into an old 70s-80s era Datsun while hunting for my FGT. They only wanted $1,700 for it. Body was good, bed was rough, engine ran but was really high mile, like 280k? If it'd been closer to half their ask I'd have considered it, but I did a parts search in multiple places to find a clean bed and came up empty, so I knew I'd probably spend more than the truck was worth just getting that and noped out.

I read it was more like $40 million for JP and $20 million for Tyson. Yeah, a lot of unknowns with Tyson, but the guy is getting pretty damned old now.

I might've been off a zero, but if that's how much we're getting paid these days, that's fucking nuts. I'll be lucky if I clear 40mil in my lifetime.

Anyone here ever played with nitrous? If i wanted to use a 30 shot at higher elevation hill climbs how much time would i have on the button with a 15lb tank? Above 3400rpm, of course, but what about the ike gauntlet? Think i could hold the giggle switch for the whole 8 miles or whatever? (For this exercise, imagine i'm hauling 20klbs, and the drivetrain is up to it.)

I'm not proud of it, but I installed it on a Fiero once for a tv show I was working on.

Formula is about 1lb of gas for every 10 seconds of 100 shot. Rough guestimate would give you about 450 seconds total, but it'll be tapering off towards the end, especially if used continuously. Seems like 8 miles would be a long time to be on the gas, but a 30 shot is pretty small at the same time. Doing any other engine work to it?

Excellent! No idea if it'll last long enough without knowing how fast you'll be going. You could run 2x10lbs for a bit more time, or 2x15lbs. Curious what gives up first.

I got a 15lb (?60ft^3?) nitrogen tank, and a buddy that works at a gas supply.
    IMG_8750.jpg

New plan: mount it in the bed to run some anti-lag for a turbo, and/or a bumper-mounted horn-triggered paintball gun.

valve regulator is probably set to 2200lbs or so. Oughtta be able to mark a few dipshits between fillups. You ever see paintballs on the back of a vehicle, dont get behind that person. You ever see em on the doors, they're the type of person that gets stuck in an intersection during a red light. If they're marked on the front, they dont shut off their brights in time.

its not the weight, with BFT's & stock gears he thinks he's running 70 when he's running 85. Lots of straight flat roads up there.

When I was a much younger hoodlum, I used to drive friends around to various hotspots to yoink 4ft tanks. Party balloons and ... man, sometimes I wonder if I could've been the next Einstein had I not killed off all those brain cells...
