I would have probably been very interested in it if I hadn't gotten my 1GT in January, but no way, my wife would kill me; I have three trucks (the 1GT, my grandpa's Ranger, and the 1973 C10) and need to get that down to two ASAP so I can focus on getting the C10 roadworthy this summer.

It is also that (easy to justify purchase).

Is the black electrical tape in engine bays the same as "regular" electrical tape or is it like a high-heat variant? Want to rewrap my battery cable looms on the Ranger but don't want a goopy mess if it's supposed to be some special engine room tape.

Seasoned some pork butts for my daughters camp dinner. We'll let them sit in the fridge until Wednesday night.

Ok so there’s water resistant tape rated up to 190 degrees, bought a roll of that.

It is a brake light all the time, yet, will tell you to pass left or right or just go disco any time I want. I told you I don’t follow the crowd.

I think it’s whip turned brake light
It’s a whip turned brake light right? How did you wire that up, sounds like a fun disco chase light hahaha.

I definitely prefer Tesa, it's basically like gaffer's tape. What OEMs use is pretty much run-of-the-mill electrical tape, and FWIW, that's what I used when I wrapped and loomed my reverse cam because I needed to blow through a pack of old rolls that were getting gooey.

But if I'm building new harnesses, especially for interior use, this is what I'm normally using. Engine bay and other places where water/oil may be an issue and the wire is exposed to the elements, I tend to favor electrical tape because it's naturally water repellant in every aspect. If I'm looming, I'll Tesa the wires, insert into loom, then elec tape every 12" or so.

Most of the whip setups are programmable with an app on your phone, and also come with a remote. The brake light feature requires the extra work of tapping into the brake circuit, and wiring it to the whip harness, but is not necessary. I usually run my whip green, then it switches red when I step on the stop button. Pretty boring compared to some of the other 127 modes or whatever it is.

Nick, a bunch of us bought 5150 Whips model 187 on a group buy.

Know: the company sold right at that same time. A few of the connectors were a bit funky. Now it's been a year+, I don't know if they're standing by their warranty, which was they'd pretty much replace any whip that didn't work for any reason. Which is why the high price was acceptable.

Ahhhh okay, that’s pretty cool. Mine has a basic app with a 100+ strobes or something crazy lol. That’s a great idea using that like you do, definitely the first I’ve seen that
Thanks but I have 2 whips already. I was more so curious of the wiring and functionality of how the whip worked as a brake light. But my questions are answered. That’s a pretty cool feature :D

Welp, guess I got whatever the hell my kid had these last couple weeks. Feels like viral flavor of bronchitis. Sucks...

Yeah, seems like Red Bunny Farms isn't selling their 1lb bags on big gurl currently, though they still have some other products. I see you can still buy it from here, but I've never shopped with that place and I'm skeptical b/c RBF doesn't show it on their storefront.

I've still got about ½LB of my last bag left. When I re-up, I'm going to give a try with this one. Seems to have a lot of rave reviews, and all I ever use anymore is smoked Spanish paprika these days, so ... if you give that Frontier Co-op brand a shot, LMK how you like it. I prefer that style of container for storage.
