There's lots of liter bikes out there with only a few miles on them because "I don't have time to ride". BS, you snapped that throttle open, saw Jesus, and pissed yourself

I keep saying it over and over again, I feel like people think I'm bullshitting. My area is SATURATED with 1st gen trucks, many of which fall into the camp of these two, but most with half as many miles or less. Many spent their whole life here in GA. And half or more are $10k or less. I see some of the trash people are buying in the rust belt, and even in the midwest, N/NW of OK, and I'm scratching my head. For a 1-way plane ticket to the ATL area with 2 nights hotel stay and 1 day car rental, you could easily find, buy, and drive away with something 2x-3x nicer.

I believe it because I see a ton of them here too. I'd say that 50% look like they were rode hard and put away wet. Chalk paint, major dents. The rest are usually driven by older dudes who don't seem to have any interest in the truck. I'll do the 1st gen wave and they don't even notice. But yes, I'm always surprised by how many are still on the road once you get away from the Rust Belt.

Same in so cal. Such a great truck. Toyota just nailed so many things on that initial design. Most importantly, they didn’t overdo anything so it’s “just right” outside of rustproofing / steel frame stuff.

Lots of 1gt's here. I point & jeep wave while on the bike and they're probably wondering wtf.

got a preemptive wave on backroads near killeen while in the truck, and it surprised me.

Mad day unpacking the U-Haul and doing some basic garage org. Tough to take such a massive step backwards from where my old garage was but the extra space is very welcome.

There’s a 1st gen wave? It must be a local thing. I’ve yet to see it, but most of the 1st gens in my neck of the woods are beat up contractor pickups.

Oh, also, my toolbox casters blew up on the way. It seems I can buy replacement casters, I just match diameter. But there are three different types? I’m not worried about the garage floor, it’s crap concrete, so anyone know what type I should get? Polyurethane, polyolefin, or phenolic?

I bet you could find your answer in the skate board thread…….

I didn't even know the last two types existed. I thought it was either polyurethane or cheap crappy plastic.

Hard to go wrong with polyurethane, but I believe the other two are harder. At least the phenolic.

Anyways, don't worry, I've got you covered. I have all the old episodes on these old fashioned devices called DVDs that you can borrow.

I have one but haven't used it in years, just stream now. I keep the old DVDs around to put a few in the travel trailer for those occasions we are getting rained out on a camping trip and need to kill a few hours.

Our go to DVD movie that the kids watched every single camping trip was Goonies. Good memories.
