OK, I'm prolly not gonna get much feedback on this, but does anyone know where to get the matching suede material found on the 2014+ 1794's?
I don't think Toyota offers it.
    Thanks for any info.

Toyota won't offer it. You will have to go to an upholstery shop and have them order something similar.

It sounds like you have a project planned. Be sure to post pictures during and when done!

    Thatnks for the reply Boerseun.
I'd like to recover the armrest lid in suede, strictly for comfort

Risky IMO, suede doesn't do well on high contact areas. See alcantara steering wheels after a few years of use.

I agree. My 05 STI had Alcantara seats and they didn't really hold up as well as I expected them to.

I agree, but, It won't take the beating a steering wheel will (hands vs. forearm), and it won't be very expensive to cover, so i'll get it re-done when I need to.
Right now, I keep a towel on the lid. I just don't like the feel of the leather on my arm. No different than vinyl.
I'll get a used lid & cover it, that way I can keep the original.
    Thanks for the input.

The leather on my arm rest is really soft, I would think the 1794 would be similar quality to the platinum, maybe even better. The suede would be nice though, except having to replace it every few years but it may be worth it

    Too many…scratch that…not done yet.
    Check out leatherseats.com or alealeather.com
I'm pretty certain they could help. Either by making the cover or I think leatherseats.com may sell the color-matched leather.

Also, check ebay for the seller 'Touchups' (I think). While they sell some of the Katzkins sets, I believe they can custom order. I think they use alea leather also.

Good luck with it...and post up some pics with whatever you do.
I've also been considering some custom leather/ alcantara trim work, so definitely interested in how it goes.

Leatherseats.com does sell leather for projects however there is a min order amount and the different shades of a color are somewhat limited. For instance I needed to get some red leather for a Mazda I had. They had 5 choices of red and none were really close to the actual color. But doesn't hurt to try them as they are responsive.

I did a suede headliner. Picked up a few yards of material from a local shop. I would try a local fabric shop.

The middle console doesn't have suede on it and for a good reason like others pointed it out. There are some areas of the seats that do have suede, but not enough to cause any issues. This sounds more headache than worth the effort. I would just pick up a garden pad if it bothers you that much. Chances are even if you put suede on the armrest, the cushion is where the pudding is.

edit: looks like you have the 1794 also, so you obviously know of what I said above. I think the tundra armrest is quite comfortable. i don't quite see the problem. Maybe for the long rides grab a small pillow to put in between,.
