hello everyone I have done a ton of searching but with no luck as to any issues with the 1794 seats. I have seen issues with stitching and piping but I am specifically concerned about the suede inserts. This piece over all is what is pushing my towards a platinum mainly because of wear and tear I feel the suede will take. My truck will be a daily driver so from driving to work, cutting grass, duck hunting trips etc I’m curious if the suede will hold up to dirt or possibly even wet wader pants(assuming I trip etc..). I’m my opinion the black may be easier to keep clean or hide dirt while the suede eventually is going to get a lot darker from everyday wear and tear. Any help confirming or denying?

I think you want microsuede. Suede is kind of a PITA to keep clean.

I do not want any suede however the suede inserts come standard on the 1794 which makes me ask the questions if they are difficult to keep clean or change colors over time.

I had mine for only two years but I never had one problem with them I loved mine.
Never any discoloration or never hard to keep clean....

I'm not familiar with the 1794 inserts, but if they're actual suede then I'm guessing they've been treated with some sort of water/stain coating. As long as you keep up with it then it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

I'm sure their treated and will be just fine.

But get a platinum same price, same features other than the seats. Unless you really want that brown leather the platinum is the way to go. Plus it doesn't have all that chrome, which will save you thousands if you decide to dechrome. Also doesnt have the cheesy fake wood grain stuff inside the cab.
