Hi everyone. Wife and I took a road trip today and half way into the drive I tried to extend the power thigh support on my driver seat. I can hear the motor engage but the thigh support won’t raise. Anyone else run into this issue? I hate to have a dealer trip just for this but it looks like that’s going to be the case. 2022 1794 with a September 2022 build date. I have only used the support once since buying the truck in October of last year.

Someone else here did post that the thigh supporter thing broke for them fairly quickly...

Haha, very true! Still frustrating but I’m sure it will get sorted out.

My thigh support stopped working a while back. I had Toyota service check it out while it was in for maintenance, and they were able to fix it. According to the service manager, all the tech had to do was reset the power seat. Not sure what he had to do to reset it. It works fine now.

If they did a reset of the seat, I wonder if disconnecting the battery for 5 min and then hooking it back up would work. Just like what an IT help desk tells you to do...lol.

Went out to get the wife coffee this morning and now the seat seems to be working fine. I’ll keep an eye on it and let you all know if the situation changes.

The thigh support on my 1794 gets stuck intermittently. It happens when the support is retracted in original position all the way, and when I push the button to fold it out, I hear and feel a thump and it doesn't move. I have to keep trying a dozen times before it finally opens up. Pretty annoying that it started to do this as soon as I got the truck.

Did a 1000 mile trip this weekend (Plat truck purchased 1/25/23) used the extender a couple times, did experienced this issue of temporally not functioning, but wait a few and it worked fine. It's like an auto reset of an overload circuit.

Just an update on this. My thigh support stopped working again so I took it to the dealer. They diagnosed it a a bad motor and replaced it under warranty with no issue. Works fine now and the part actually came in about three days.

Having the same issue with my 1794 that I just picked up the other week. Mashing the buttons rapidly seems to get it back up and going. Taking the truck in for service this weekend so will see what they say.

Mine worked fine for first couple months then randomly quit working the last two months. That is until I read Dexter L’s comment about turning on the ventilated seat. As soon as I turned the vented fan button on and tried the leg extender, it immediately began working again. Thanks, Dex! With this short term fix, I’m not gonna bother with taking this issue to the dealer until my scheduled maintenance.

I had this problem but I went under the seat and tugged on the worm drive the actuator runs on a bit and it seemed to go again. I kinda found that leaving all the way retracted seems to lead to getting it stuck and leaving it just a little bit out seems to be better. But I will try the seat ventilator switch if it jambs up again.

I’m the OP and my replacement support has started acting up again. Pushing the button rapidly several times seems to get it working so I’m not sure if I’ll bother getting it fixed again.

The thigh support on my 2023 1793 edition hasn’t worked for a few months. I’ll try some of these suggestions to see if it helps. Thanks

Mine was intermittent from the day I bought her new. 1st time in, the dealer did a "relearn." It worked for a few weeks; then stopped. 2nd time in they said one of the tracks for the motor was broken. Replaced it and all is well...so far.

So a month ago I reported the issue when I got my oil change. They ordered the part and 3 weeks ago went to put it I'm when they did the fuel tube recall, part was the wrong one so last week I went back for the correct part to be installed. They needed another part that they realized during the install so they scheduled me for today. Now they are telling me that the thigh support is working great but the motor that moves the seat up and down is defective and now we're waiting for that part to come in. I'm very grateful that the only issue I'm having with my new truck is the seat but they've taken 4 Saturdays from me now and last week I missed out on our az crew trip up to box canyon. Hopefully we can get this wrapped up soon.
