No rime or reason happens ever so often...really hot, cool, .....I can drive for weeks and not have any issues then go to put my truck in drive and the shifter is locked...replace fuse and we are good for weeks..then sometimes it blows three or four times ..then it doesn't then I'm good to go again for a week....have replaced the brake switch..still same issues. Thoughts?.

Sounds as you have a intermittant short. Things like damaged or wet elctrical conectors or wire harness toucing the frame on occasion. Id check the wiring schematic for that circuit, probably see the fuse on the output side feeding a soleniod. Another possible culprit.
