Just installed the kit on my 2020 SR5 with H key. My kit number ends in Y25, the direction only mention Y10, Y20 and Y30. I went with the Y25 for direction. The only issue I have is once I start the truck remotely, nothing on my key fob works, lock or unlock. So, I have to use the key in the slot to enter. Please tell me this isn’t normal.

Did you connect the tpms cable correctly? If that is not connected your key fob will not work to unlock and lock doors

That is not normal. I've had one of their kits on my truck for 2 years and never had an issue. I would reach out to the manufacturer.

Okay, I did miss the TPMS step. It just connects to the harness? The other end with splice connectors don’t get attached?

Well I found the wire I have to splice into. I was losing daylight, so I’ll tackle it tomorrow. It doesn’t look like a fun place to splice wires with big paws. Patience, deep breathe, patience! Pray for me.

I know exactly what you mean. On the wife's 2020 4runner pretty small and tight but I was able to do it and no issues yet. On my 19 tundra everything was plug and play with lots of room lol

Curious, I installed this kit last year and it had a no splice connection for the TPMS, did something change?

They must have. I thought it was plug and play as well. I’m not excited about cutting wires on my brand new truck. I’ll post results later this afternoon.

On my 2019 it was 100 % plug in play no wires to cut. On my wife's 2020 4runner I had to splice into one cable that being the tpms. Only way it will work unless you don't mind unlocking your truck with with key?

The funny thing is my TPMS still works. I have to splice the TPMS harness in to get my door locks to work with the key fob after remote start. That’s what has me scratching my head. Fingers crossed, I’d hate to cut the wire unless necessary. Jeremy from 12 volt tells me that’s what I have to do though.

Well the TPMS harness is spliced in. My doors locks now work with the key fob. However, my TPMS is gone from my cluster and the light stays on. Is it possible I programmed the module before splicing that in is the culprit? Does anyone now if you can un program the module? Then I’ll re program it and see it that solves the problem.

Does the light not come off as soon as you turn the key to the on position and press the brakes?

No the light flashes several times then stays on. The TPMS readings are completely erased from the cluster also.

So I’m thinking, if I can un program the module, then re program with the TPMS wired in it will resolve the issue.

    Can the module be erased?

Sure can. That I wouldn't be able to help you with and I advise you to call support for that. I did read somewhere just can't remember where that its fairly easy. When you spliced into the tpms wire you connected one end of the tpms harness to one side and the other to the other side? Don't remember what color goes to which end but I know it must be connected a certain way.

Correct, it stated the red wire to factory connector. I took that as the plug side of the cut wire. I put the green wire to the loom side of wires going back toward the firewall.

Call support and ask about resetting the module. Hopefully that fixes your issue

I called the 888 number. Got a very lengthy message saying how busy they are and how diligently they’re working. Which I’m very sure they are. It only led me to email. I did get a timely response the first time. Now I await this issue. I’m sure they will get me straightened out...thanks for the help!!

Have you tried Google? Maybe you can find something now instead of waiting?

Okay, I walked away and took a deep breathe. Did the Google search as recommended by @BigT27, thank you sir! Google took me to their website. I watch a couple videos only to find it’s normal with the kit I have. Here’s the sequence...push lock 3 times truck starts. Push unlock and enter truck. Turn the key to on position, tap the brakes twice and the TPMS light goes away. If I start the truck without the remote start, the TPMS light does not stay on. So, looks like I’m good to go. Thank you for your responses and help. I love this forum.
