100 Series Convert

Hello all, I recently sold my extremely high mileage 100 series and landed in a 06 AC 4X4 TRD w/limited slip SR5. 160k miles on it, timing water pump done at 151k, mishimoto radiator, all other great maintenance too. Right now my only want is some better door speakers and gonna do a tape deck aux cord setup. It came with dual trd exhaust too. Any other things I should consider for creature comforts? My 100 had 392k so I am very familiar with the 4.7, but not the vvti or the 5 speed.

 

I've narrowed down that I have jbl with Amp I think when it comes to speakers and sound system.

Yeah, can’t answer definitively here ‘til we know more details on which stereo @Sailor95 has from factory, which amp etc.

Thanks guys, luckily the previous owner threw in some carhart seat covers too so that is off the list. I have tweeters in the doors and the radio has a 6 disc changer if that helps? The Amp is in the rear passenger location under the black cover. My thought is kicker cs 6.5s in the doors, maybe a Bluetooth factory integration would be cool. Keep it old style. I wanna work on the bed and cap to get ready for camping wiyj wife and son this spring. I'm debating either ditch lights or some bumper mounted lights for drives into the mountains.

Ok your amp* under the rear seat should say it’s Fujitsu. Like that quoted text up there from Black Mamba, if it was JBL it’d be silkscreened on the face of the radio, stickers on the amp etc. Lots of other good info in that text he quoted.

So you only want to replace the front and rear speakers? But keep the OEM amp and radio?

How comfortable are you with installing speakers, knowing you may need to trim mounting brackets, deal with wires, maybe a little crimping?
