None of the threads provided a definite answer to this issue. I read the schematic. The motor has positive voltage at all times with the large white and blue wire that hooks all the lock actuators in series. The pink wire unlocks, light blue locks, green is indicator or beep signal. The white with black sends a ground to signal lock or unlock. All other doors functional. I have to mechanally unlock the driver door with the key or by opening it from inside with handle. I replaced main body ecu under glove box with a salvage one. Tried two different lock actuators. Both rebuilt actuators did same issue. Have used meter and jump wire. Always locks but won't unlock. Have unhooked battery to reset. Have tried everything known to all forums. I'm stumped.

From installing a electronic tailgate lock and remote tailgate opener triggered by unlocking signals, my experience is:

The locking action switches between positive and negative on the same pair of wires depending on whether it is locking or unlocking. In other words, the juice flows in one direction for locking or the other direction for unlocking.

If I'm right, and to be clear I am frequently wrong, but if I'm right the circuit must be complete and the wiring correct because electronic locking is working properly.

Thus I think the actuator must be bad, but you have replaced it twice. So perhaps something needs to be lubricated or a mechanical linkage isn't connecting properly.

The schematic and the voltmeter shows the motor gets positive all the time. It gets a ground signal to lock or unlock depending on the wire that sends it. Talked to a Master Tech. The body computer ecu that controls it is connected to the fuse box at the left kick panel under the steering wheel. I replaced the wrong electronic module. I got the body computer today. $1200 part. Got mine for $90 at salvage yard. The issue is definitely not the actuator. They all do the same thing. So impossible that many are bad. It's that they are not getting signal from the ecu.

@willrev did the main body computer fix your issue?
