    Hello, I have a 2006 Toyota Tundra SR5 4.7L.

I’d had trouble with the truck sitting for a few days, going back to start it, and it taking a few minutes of cranking it for it to finally start.

    I’ve replaced the following:

Timing Belt and Water Pump, truck has 198k on it Camshaft and Cam Angle Sensor(s)

After replacing the above and the truck sitting for two weeks, it took forever to find time with my uncle to replace, the truck wouldn’t crank or start, or read anything from the OBDII port (Says link error each time)

    So we replaced the following:

    Starter PCM

After replacing those, still having the same issues of no crank/start or reading anything from OBDII port. Not sure where to go from here.

***I was told on another forum to check fuel pump, but want more advice just to make sure.

My first question is, have you checked the engine bay fuse/relay box, AND the integrity of the cable that goes from the fuse/relay box to the battery terminal?
Second question is, did you check for power on pin 16 of the OBD port, to confirm at least that's lit up?

I only ask because of your strange symptom about OBD.

(RE: Other forum. You need three things to start: air, fuel, spark. So yes, bad fuel pump could cause the pre-repair symptoms, and the post-repair symptoms. Try using some starter fluid/ether and see if it turns over. If it does and dies, that would be a decent indicator fuel delivery could be the issue)

Oh, and I assume your battery is known-good, and above 12.4V DC

If voltage gets too low, OBD port may see strange behavior. I've seen this on other cars, but never on my Tundra.

We have not checked the relays, but will start there along with checking pin-16 as well. Thank you for that!

yes, we have the batter charger on it for the PCM install yesterday and the voltage was good. I’ll see about doing the starting fluid stuff with my uncle when I get home.
