06 4.7 intake manifold gasket

    2006 toyota tundra
    Just had valve job done and got a complete gasket kit. In that kit there is an upper intake gasket. Is this only for the cast version of the intake manifold? Has anyone ever tried to open up the plastic version?

    Yeah, it's only for the 00-04 trucks. What kit did you use? I've had numerous problems with non OEM/Felpro IM gaskets blowing out.

    It's a felpro kit, but on the plastic IM version the gaskets are just "rubber" ovals
