2005 Bluesteel Metalic Tundra

I'm looking to remove/replace my ashtray bulb with an LED and need advice on how to remove the socket from the metal base. Does it push to 1 side or another? Pull straight out? Tight confines and don't want to snap the old plastic. Thanks
