04 Sequoia engine skid plate

good day everybody hope all is well. I took my skid plate off because I was doing some errands intake work and I dropped a tool or two down and on that pan anyways I decided to paint it and I noticed that there’s threaded holes what are these threaded holes for?

 

You may be speaking of threaded holes for Sequoia/Tundra tow hooks.

 

those are on the frame horns. Do the ‘03+ have the plastic wings hanging off the side of the skid? I dont remember if those holes are threaded or not.

@Sandyroads I have no clue what those 2 thread holes on each end are for and I've had skid plate off more than a dozen times.

 

The metal bumper trucks had plastic ‘wings’ that filled in the bumper corners.

J/k. I use the ‘upload a file’ button, but there seems to be other ways to do it, also. I dont know how, but a quick search should point you in the right direction. I know shifty has written a detailed list a few times.

 

I dont know if the DC/sequoias had the plastic shields like posted in reply #5 & i’m pretty sure thats what the holes were for.

paint looks good. What color is the sequoia?

 

Green but im going to be flat sand color canning it at some point.

I chose Poppy red I kind of wanna do the calipers too, but I’m not sure how to do that without making a huge mess
