So, im still working on the eternal TB change. An hour here, an hour there...do nothing for 4 days, etc. I just now got to the point of removing the crank pulley. I watched a YT vid and dude said get this holder which he linked. Waited 3-4 days (ordered on thursday) ..well, the bolt holes did not line up with holes in pulley. So back to scamazon..found one that that specifically said works for 2000-2004 2uz-fe tundras. Went straight out there last night and does not fit.
This one has the protruding nipples (yeaaaaah baaaby) as opposed to the bolt holes. I think they line up good, the issue is the holder is too shallow/short.

It doesnt reach the holes with out leaning out one side of the pulley. The pulley is too deep for this one and there isn't square contact.

Had to go old school and loosened the crank with starter bump method. Had to bump it twice.
So, does anyone know of a holder that will work when I go back to torque it?

heres what loaded when I clicked on your link ..ha. (thanks btw) maybe I was sent the wrong one. Did your bolts fit good? The ones that came with mine seemed to be exact size and were not ever going to go in. I tried on the one hole that would line up.

Yep, the bolts fit in just fine and I had no problems. A few other people have used this one too. Not sure what's up with yours, can you snap a better pic on how the bolts aren't lining up?

i sent it back. but if you set it perfect on one of the bolt holes..the other one was only partially visible..just the top third or so...def not enough to get a bolt in. With yours and others success, maybe i should try ordering again in case I got one made for another model. Maybe I have a different pulley than OEM??

Agreed. I made one too. Took less than 30 minutes. Only needed it to install the crank pulley. Used an impact to remove pulley bolt and the pulley slid off the crank with my hands.

The guy in one of the videos linked in the sticky thread on timing belts in this forum used a 2x4, drilled 3 holes, and then you need 2 bolts prob an 1-1/2" longer than the ones in the kit you bought from scamazon

Don’t think I would be using a 2x4 or any wood for that matter. The crank bolt gets torqued to 176 foot pounds or so if I remember right. Put that much pressure on a piece of wood, and if it splits, you’re going to bust something and it’ll probably be your knuckles.

I was merely offering another option and I was dismissive at first too. I personally just bought the tool

But it is a working option If you don't want to wait for a part to come in the mail

It may not be in the sticky thread, but this guy been using one for years.

The strong side of a 3 foot piece of 2 x 4 is more than strong enough. And when done properly, those two bolts spread the force around where the wide side of the 2 x 4 meets the harmonic balancer, so it is not the bolts and the drilled holes that are bearing the brunt of the force
